About The Bourse Food Hall

The Bourse Food Hall is a food court in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 111 S Independence Mall E, Philadelphia, PA 19106, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under bar, delivery restaurant, restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

These businesses tend to have short hours built around lunch and early dinner rather than late-night service, so checking the listed hours before heading out in Philadelphia saves a wasted trip. Seating is often limited or first-come, and many locations lean toward takeout or delivery rather than dining in. Prices are generally lower than full-service restaurants in the same category, which makes this group a reliable option for a fast, inexpensive meal across Pennsylvania. Portions can be smaller at food-court counters than at a stand-alone restaurant, so ordering two items is common for a full meal. Many of these businesses are independently owned even inside a shared food hall, so hours, accepted payment methods and whether a counter takes online orders can differ from stall to stall within the same building.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The Bourse Food Hall is a charming spot with historic architecture and a clean, airy vibe. I found it moderately busyβ€”some vendors were open (cheesesteaks, ice cream), but others were closed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Portions were generous for the prices, and the bathrooms were spotless. Parking nearby was tricky, but there’s a lot of street parking. Maybe check vendor hours ahead of time to avoid disappointmentβ€”otherwise, it’s a nice place to grab a bite and admire the building.

The Bourse is a sad shadow of what it once was. Perhaps I went at a bad time and missed out on a plethora of stores, or at least I’d like to think so. I was there on a Friday 5/24, at noon, thinking I would be able to have a variety of food options, but ended up seeing only 4 restaurants open. There were a couple of school groups wandering around so there were people looking to purchase lunches, but very few options. I was there a number of years ago, pre-covid, and the place was packed with eateries and consumers alike. It used to be hard to find a seat to sit down and enjoy a meal. I hear there are renovations under way. Hopefully it helps rejuvenate the area. I will come back and update my review.

We were looking for a particular restaurant, not knowing it was inside of a food court, when when we ended up here. This court looks like it may have once been home to many many different vendors, but today it was rather sparse. The selection includes burgers, pizza, breakfast, tacos salads. There were 3 of us and we each ordered from a different place. No stellar reviews from any. While the choices weren't horrible, they were just mediocre. Being in Philly, there are a bazillion other spots to eat with better fare. I give it a meh...

What a neat place! I think they’re affected by the covid closures though - not many spots open, but those that were were INCREDIBLE! Wow! Delicious food! Great cocktails/beer too! We got something from everywhere open for a dinner, loved it so much we came back the next morning for breakfast. Kid friendly too and clean bathrooms.

The Bourse Food Hall is a great place to eat if you’re in Old City. There are a variety of food vendors to choose from, including a coffee shop, tacos, ice cream, cheesesteaks, etc. Unfortunately not all of the shops are open. However, you still have choices. The location is clean and decorated . There is a good amount of seating. And, the bathrooms are well maintained. The building itself is beautiful. It’s a fabulous place to stop by just for the architecture.
